Balochistan Government Announces 7% Increase in Pension for Civil and Family Pensioners

The Government of Balochistan has announced a 7% increase in pension for civil pensioners of the Balochistan Government with effect from July 1, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, Government of Balochistan, the increase will be calculated on the baseline pension as determined under the Finance Department’s previous notification dated November 24, 2025.

7% Increase in Pension from July 2026

The notification states that all Civil Pensioners of the Balochistan Government will receive a 7% increase in pension with effect from July 1, 2026.

The revised pension will be based on the baseline/net pension determined according to the applicable rules and the Finance Department’s notification FD.SO(Reg-II)VII-1/Pension/2025/271-411 dated November 24, 2025.

Pensioners Retiring on or After July 1, 2026

The newly sanctioned 7% pension increase will also be admissible to government employees who retire on or after July 1, 2026, according to the notification.

This means eligible employees retiring from service from July 1, 2026 onward will also receive the pension increase under the applicable pension rules.

Previous Pension Increases Will Continue

The Finance Department has clarified that previous pension increases will continue to remain admissible.

The notification specifically states that the 15% increase in pension allowed through Finance Department Notification No. FD(R-I)II-29/2022/856-976 dated August 18, 2022, as well as the 7% increase allowed through Finance Department Circular No. FD(R-III)-29/2025/451-570 dated July 17, 2025, will remain admissible to civil pensioners retiring on or after July 1, 2026.

Therefore, the latest 7% increase is in addition to the pension increases that remain applicable under the relevant government rules and notifications.

Family Pensioners Also Eligible

The Government of Balochistan has also extended the pension increase to family pensioners.

According to the notification, the increase will be admissible to family pensioners of the Provincial Government under the Balochistan Civil Servants Pension Rules, 1989, as amended through the relevant Finance Department notification.

The increase will also apply to the compassionate allowance under Rule 1.9 of the said pension rules.

Effective Date of Balochistan Pension Increase

The key details of the notification are:

  • Pension increase: 7%

  • Beneficiaries: Civil pensioners of the Government of Balochistan

What This Means for Balochistan Pensioners

The latest notification provides financial relief to retired employees and eligible family pensioners of the Balochistan Government. The 7% increase will be applicable from July 1, 2026, subject to the baseline pension and applicable pension rules.

Pensioners should check their revised pension calculations and payment details with the relevant Accounts Office or pension-disbursing authority once the revised pension is implemented.
